Oracle AI World 2026 (the event most of us still mentally file under “Oracle World 2026”) runs October 25 through 28, 2026, at The Venetian Convention and Expo Center in Las Vegas. Oracle’s own event site confirms the four-day format, with Sunday, October 25, kicked off by hands-on labs, hackathons, and Oracle University training sessions before the mainstage keynotes take over Monday and Tuesday.
If past years are any indicator, attendance will land somewhere north of 20,000 people — customers, partners, IT leaders, developers, and a fair number of consultants like myself wandering the expo floor with a badge full of session QR codes I’ll never actually scan.
Why I’m Paying Attention This Year
I’ve been an Oracle DBA for over a decade now, and I’ll admit the last couple of editions of this conference felt heavier on marketing slides than on the kind of deep technical content I actually care about. But a few things have me watching Oracle World 2026 more closely than usual.
First, the database roadmap conversation hasn’t slowed down. What I’m Planning to Do Before October

I always register early once the session catalog goes live, because the hands-on lab slots for anything Exadata or RAC related fill up faster than you’d expect for a room full of database people. I also try to map out sessions around Oracle Database@AWS, Data Guard, and RAC administration first, since that’s where my client work is concentrated right now, and only fill in the AI-heavy sessions afterward once I know my technical schedule is locked.
Booking hotels near the Venetian itself matters more than people think — Las Vegas Strip traffic during a 20,000-person conference week is not something you want to be commuting through if your session starts at 8 a.m.
